Chambers Cooking Appliance Brand Reintroduced with Launch of Gas Range Line 

Professional grade ranges offered factory-direct via ChambersRange.com

(LOS ANGELES) – Thor Appliance Company, a leading supplier of specialty home appliances, announced today the launch of its new freestanding professional grade gas range line under the Chambers brand name.

Offering a full selection of commercial-style ranges measuring 24”, 30”, 36” 48” and 60”, the Chambers line incorporates custom features including a palette of 10 exterior colors and customer-selected range top layout on most models. All ranges are offered custom built-to-order direct from the factory through the company’s online store, www.ChambersRange.com

“What makes Chambers unique is that we offer our ranges direct from the factory with the features, color and style the customer desires,” said marketing vice president Matthew Lee. “Each built-to-order range is designed by the customer to meet his or her style and culinary needs.”

Chambers ranges will also include many proprietary features designed to help create memorable meals with ease. Chambers’ professional-grade broiler is constructed of Inconel® high-performance alloy, offering unsurpassed durability and precise 1,500°F heat for searing fish and steak. Additionally, each Chambers range top burner incorporates ProSimmer™ technology, offering a consistent 140°F simmer for heating the most delicate of soups and sauces. All ranges will accommodate commercial-size baking sheets and offer the industry’s largest oven capacity for each of the five range sizes.

The ChambersRange.com web site will debut on April 2nd with order placement initially available via telephone. An interactive online order system, including a virtual kitchen design tool which allows customers to see a Chambers range in a variety of kitchen layouts, will be will be available in August 2007..

One of the oldest and most recognized names in cooking appliances, Chambers ranges became famous in the 1920s when the company introduced the first retained heat range. Utilizing superior insulation, this new technology range made it possible to turn off the gas entirely after the initial heating, allowing food to cook uniformly before the use to convection technology.

After a series of acquisitions by larger appliance manufactures, the Chambers brand was discontinued in the late 1980s during a time of brand consolidation. Thor Appliance Company acquired the rights to the Chambers brand for use on cooking appliances in 2003. The company plans to expand its cooking appliance selection to include wall ovens and cooktops by early 2008.
