If you purchased a SoftLine model Thor, connect hoses directly to water value on back of machine (pressure reducers not required). Be sure that the bent or "elbow" end is attached to the machine and not attached to the water source.
Ensure that the hot water connection hose is attached to the hot water source and vise versa. If hoses are switched, your Thor washer/dryer will not dry correctly. The hot and cold water connections are illustrated at right.
Connecting Drain Line
Your Thor washer/dryer comes standard with a corrugated drain hose for use with standpipe or basin style washer drains.
Drain hose should be installed a minimum of 28 inches off the ground and a maximum of 40 inches off the ground. Higher or lower drain installation will cause water to siphon back into washer tub.
If drain source is below the 28 inch minimum, arch drain hose through clip on back of Thor machine (see photo). This will achieve the minimum height requirement and prevent siphoning. Installation above the 40 inch maximum is not recommended.
Electrical Connection
Your Thor washer/dryer comes with a standard three-prong plug and operates on 110 volt household current.
